Mixed-container sourcing helps importers test more products without committing an entire container to one SKU. It also requires careful planning: carton quantities, product dimensions, shelf life and supplier availability must work together before a quotation can be confirmed.

SECTION 01

Start with the retail assortment, not the container

Define the channels you sell through and the product roles you need: traffic-driving best sellers, new flavors, entry-price items and higher-margin novelty products. This creates a usable buying list instead of a collection of unrelated samples.

  • Target categories and brands
  • Preferred flavors and pack sizes
  • Expected cartons per SKU
  • Destination country and sales channel

SECTION 02

Confirm MOQ at SKU and supplier level

A mixed container does not remove every minimum order requirement. Some items can be combined by flavor, while others require a minimum carton quantity for each SKU. Ask the supplier to mark which lines can be mixed and which cannot.

SECTION 03

Check shelf life before allocating volume

Request the production date, total shelf life and expected remaining shelf life at shipment. Products with different shelf-life profiles may need different order quantities, especially when the destination has a long transit time or strict retailer requirements.

SECTION 04

Build a loading plan from confirmed cartons

Final loading depends on carton dimensions, gross weight, stacking limits and product compatibility. Drinks and fragile snacks require different handling, so the final assortment should be reviewed after carton specifications are confirmed.

  • Carton dimensions and units per carton
  • Gross and net weight
  • Pallet or floor-loading requirements
  • Temperature or handling constraints

SECTION 05

Send a quotation-ready inquiry

Provide product names, flavors, cartons per SKU, destination port and required delivery window. YIGOO Foods then reviews availability, MOQ, packing, shelf life and consolidation feasibility. Published product information is a sourcing reference; the final offer is confirmed against the actual request.
